LEED

LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) is one of the most globally recognized assessment systems, developed by the U.S. Green Building Council in 1998. It is an environmental certification system for buildings (new construction, renovation, etc.) that can be applied to most building types and operations.

The certification system aims to identify, implement, and measure environmentally friendly design, construction, operation, and maintenance. The Sweden Green Building Council has been an official partner of USGBC since 2013.

Certification is awarded at four levels (Certified, Silver, Gold, and Platinum).

A key indicator is water consumption, and here the flow rate of faucets and showers can play a significant role. There are no LEED-certified faucets, but our LEED-adapted products (lower flow) can contribute points when calculating the building's total water consumption.

Indicators related to faucets/showers:

WEp1 "Water Efficiency" / WEc3 "Water Use Reduction".

Washbasin, kitchen, and shower faucets can contribute to points in the calculation of the building's total water consumption/savings compared to the "Baseline".

Are there LEED-certified mixers available?
