Green Key

Green Key is a leading international environmental certification for facilities in the hospitality and tourism industry, with over 3700 certified establishments in over 60 countries worldwide. Green Key is internationally managed by the Foundation for Environmental Education (FEE) and is supported by organizations such as the World Tourism Organization (WTO) and the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP).

A lodging or conference facility certified with Green Key actively works to minimize its environmental impact, for example, through clear environmental measures such as reduced energy and water consumption, the use of renewable energy, waste sorting and recycling, procurement of environmentally certified cleaning products, and organic food. In addition, the facilities must engage in socially responsible practices and communicate and collaborate with guests and other stakeholders.
