BREEAM In-Use
BREEAM In-Use is an environmental certification system from the UK that has been in existence since 2009. The primary purpose of BREEAM In-Use is to reduce the environmental impact of existing buildings.
With BREEAM In-Use, it is possible to certify existing buildings in Sweden and worldwide. There is no specific Swedish version of BREEAM In-Use; instead, the international manual is used to certify buildings in Sweden.
BREEAM In-Use is available in versions for residential and commercial buildings. The manual for commercial buildings applies to all other building types besides residential.
Levels for BREEAM In-Use:
- OUTSTANDING ≥ 85%
- EXCELLENT ≥ 70%
- VERY GOOD ≥ 55%
- GOOD ≥ 40%
- PASS ≥ 25%
- ACCEPTABLE ≥ 10%
- UNCLASSIFIED < 10%
